Gunners continues winning, Red Devil back on track

Here are summary on results on Saturday August 22 2009 ...

Arsenal destroyed Portsmouth to continue their impressive start to the season with a 4-1 romp at Emirates Stadium. Abou Diaby smashed in a first-half brace to set the rampant Gunners on their way. Younes Kaboul pulled a goal back for Portsmouth before William Gallas bundled in his third goal in as many games, and finally youngster Aaron Ramsey wrapped things up. ''When he decides to play more defensively, he is exactly like [Patrick] Vieira,'' said Wenger of Diaby. ''He has quick transition from box to box. ''When we are on the counter-attack, he is fantastic. This could be his season.

England striker Wayne Rooney joined the 100 club and Michael Owen got off the mark as Manchester United re-discovered that winning habit in the second half, 5-0 at Wigan. Rooney made the breakthrough in the 56th minute and got his second nine minutes later in a fine second-half show. Dimitar Berbatov found the net in the 58th minute, Owen scoerd in the 85th minute after replacing Rooney, and Nani completed the scoring in stoppage time with a classy free-kick.

Man U and Arsenal will meet at Old Trafford on 29/08/2009. It will be a cracking match to watch. I can't wait for next week. It will test Gunners young squad as it will be the real test for Man U post-Ronaldo squad.
